1. How did you take the photograph(s)?
I took all of the photos at the Boston Aquarium with my phone camera. Most were in a dark room through glass so it was hard to get the shot, but with a little editing they turned out to be really good photos (in my opinion).
2. Why is this photo good (compositional standpoint)?
These photos are good composition ally because they either use the 1/3 composition rule, contrast, or lines. The turtle is towards the side of the photo to draw interest to it. The blue jelly fish's tentacles have curvy, wavy lines that draw interesting and lead your eye throughout the picture. And the last one has contrast between the bright creme color and the blackish blue background.
3. Why do you value this photo (sentimental standpoint)?
I value them because they're all from my favorite city in the world and they are great memories to me. 4. What is your theme? How did you showcase your identity?
My theme is sea life obviously. This showcases my identity because I love sea life and marine life so it really shows my love for that.
5. How do the other images/ text relate to your theme?
The way the pictures are cut in geometric patterns are apart of the them because they contrast the naturalistic, soft lines of the animals. And the letters relate because they share similar colors to the photos.
6. Describe how you used the chosen principle of design.
I used unity and variety in this piece because again, all the photos share a similar color scheme and use of soft natural lines of the sea life. All together I think everything is unified by the use of line and color.
